This interactive experience invites students, faculty, and community partners to connect with history in meaningful ways—beyond dates and facts—by engaging with real artifacts from the Footsteps to Freedom collection.Using the Library of Congress’s “Observe, Reflect, Question” model, participants will analyze original documents, photographs, and other historical items to uncover the lived experiences behind them. Together, we’ll step into the shoes of those who came before us, deepening our understanding of how their stories continue to shape our shared narrative today.
