- Description“From Lived Experience to Systems Change: Leadership, Redemption, and the Power of Community”Join us for an inspiring conversation with a community leader and author who bridges personal transformation with systemic impact. Drawing from his work with the Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy and his memoir, How to Move in a Room Full of Vultures: A Memoir of Redemption and Leadership, this session explores what it means to lead with authenticity, resilience, and purpose in the face of adversity.Through themes of redemption, data, and dignity, participants will gain insight into community-rooted strategies that reduce violence, expand educational opportunity, and elevate student voice across K-16 systems. This session invites educators, students, and advocates to reimagine leadership as both a deeply personal journey and a collective movement toward equity and justice.
